UGent Astronomy

The research of the UGent astronomy group concentrates on understanding the structure, origin and evolution of galaxies, with a particular focus on interstellar dust, dwarf galaxies and galaxy dynamics. The team uses both multi-wavelength observations and state-of-the-art numerical simulations, and is involved in the development of instrumentation for several new telescopes.
